I am a Sociology/Communications double major at Augusta State University. I am a freshman and I have a 2.77 GPA this semester.
Experience
I have taken the SAT several times. My score was about 1450. I work with the youth ministry at church and am the lead of the Young Women's Ministry. Not only do I teach teens about God, but I offer myself to any capacity, including tutor for the students who are doing poorly in subjects that I have done well in as a high school student and in college. I have taken ASUO1000, which is a class that teaches the student about their learning style, how to study, and how to prepare for tests. I have taken several introductory courses to my majors which teaches about the different ways that children are socialized and how to communicate with different types of people. I took Biology 1101 during a summer term (4 weeks) and made a B. I have taken Communications and English 1101 and made an A and a B. I have taken several Sociology courses and made A's. I also took spanish in high school as well as taking private classes on my own and can assist on an introductory level. Although the following subjects are not listed as my preferred subjects to tutor in, I have taken American History (A) along with several introductory music classes (A's). My poorer subject is math, so I will not tutor in math.
